What really happened (has been happening) in Iran?
Chronologically I haven't tried to understand what has been occuring in the Middle East since the history between the region and the U.S. has been ...LONG, as well as of others. So here it is to understand its chaotic history and the current incidents which happened during the end of 2019 until today.

A wave of protests engulfed different cities in Iran as the result of their governmnetal decision to increace a fuel tax as much as 300%(!!!) Even though the campaigns were implemented peacefully some places in the country degenerated into weaponized riots vandalizing public properties or polices.
If I remember the date correctly, I guess it was in October that the Chilean government raised the fare of the public transportation in Santiago's metropolitan area by 30 pesos.東京の人々は、、、indignantlyに公共料金が上がったらどうするんだろうな。can't guess until how much tokyo people can bear the raise.

The US governments expressed its support for the Iranian protesters. キタキタ
After the protests
President Rouhani insisted that innocent civilians arrested, and Iranian diplomats admitted (but the information was not officially confirmed) that as many as 7,000 civilians (may) have been arrested by the governmnent. And the Intelligence Ministry mentioned that it had arrested 8 CIA operatives accused of being instrumental(??) in inciting the riots(??).

AND! the chief commander of the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps:革命防衛隊≠国軍) claimed that the riots were conducted by the group which has a relation with US supported Mijahedin-e Khalq, which has interferences by the US, Israel and Saudi Arabia.
Mija... mi hija...ミハヘディンなにやったの、ねえねえ。
2019年11月～12月初旬
Over the last couple of months Iranian-backed Shia militias (多分KH) have repeatedly attacked bases hosting American forces in Iraq.
11/9: Iranian-backed Shia militias fired rockets at Q-West Air Base located in North-West Iraq.
12/3: They conducted a rocket attack against Al Asad Air Base.
12/5: They launched rockets against Balad Air Base.
12/9: They fired rockets at the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center located on the Baghdad International Airport.
Pentagon enforces that it is clear that these attacks are being directed by the Iranian regime, specifically IRGC leadership.

今回のがクリティカルヒットしてしまったようですね。
There was an airforce attack by a rocket on a Kirkuk airbase (イラクの北方にある基地) in Iraq, which is the house of the US and Iraq Forces. Eventually one American civilian contractor was killed and sevelal members of the both the countries got wounded. It is suspected that the conduct was involved with the iraqui Shia paramilitary force, Kata'ib Hezbollah, which the US governmnet later depicted that
KH has a strong linkage with Iran's Quds Force and has repeatedly received lethal aid and other support from Iran that it has used to attack OIR coalition forces.

そんでな、Pentagon said that "In response to repeated Kata'ib Hizbollah (KH) attacks on Iraqi bases that host Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR) coalition forces, U.S. forces have conducted precision defensive strikes against five KH facilities in Iraq and Syria that will degrade KH's ability to conduct future attacks against OIR coalition forces."

大晦日ぐらい慎もうぜ、な？
Volent rallies of members of these militias (イランバックの軍人一派) outside the American embassy in Baghdad resulted in damage to exterior entry facilities and buildings at the embassy compound.
Pentagon assured that theose militiamens are related to Iranian government since they wore their typical uniforms and carried the flags of their groups including KH.
Later an additional 100 U.S Marines were deployed to reinforce the embassy.

Quasem Soleimani (軍部の偉いおじちゃん) was killed on 3 January 2020 by the US Force.*1 The US department of Defence claimes that the U.S. strike was carried out "at the direction of the President D.Trump" and mentions that Soleimani had been planning additional attacks on the US Forces.
Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, once called him a "living martyr of the revolution." But the United States viewed Iran's top general as a ruthless killer.
なんとこのおじちゃん実は世論調査で一番人気(支持率ダントツ上位82％)。言ってしまえばイランのジョーバイデン。ゆるゆるな書き方でいえばアメリカちゃん絶許なのでしょう。
